Parameters are data used in module function blocks to perform calculations and logic. Some parameters are defined and unchangeable for certain function blocks. Some default to a most common value, but may be modified. Others must be set by the user.
Some function blocks have a large number of parameters. To help you quickly access the ones you need, a number of parameter filtering options are available. In the Parameter view, the Common configuration filter setting lists the parameters that are most often used for the configuration of the control module. These parameters generally have default values set, but should be modified to fit the application. Parameters and parameter filtering are described in detail in the Books Online Configuration manual.
