Safety Manual Document History and Current Referenced Information

The page is referred to in the DeltaV SIS Safety Manual. It shows the document history of that Safety Manual, as well as links to the most current referenced information. The reason that we have put this on the Web rather than in the manual itself is twofold:

1. This approach ensures that all concerned can confirm that they are using the right version of the DeltaV SIS Safety Manual.
2. It removes the need to update the safety manual every time that related information that is not an integral part of the document (such as exida's SIL verification tool) is updated.

Safety Manuals for the SLS1508

The following table shows the part number of the DeltaV SIS Safety Manual associated with each version of the SLS1508 (combination of hardware and firmware revision) currently in the field.

Certified digital valve controllers for use with HART Two-state Output channels

HART Two-state Output channels of the SLS1508 are intended to be used only with digital valve controllers certified by Emerson as being equivalent to the Fisher Controls DVC6000 digital valve controller with ESD tier. Currently the only digital valve controller certified for use with HART Two-state Output channels is the Fisher Controls DVC6000 with ESD tier (firmware revision 6 or later).
