This unit operates at 400 PSIG and uses four burners. The first
DeltaV system implemented, replaced older pneumatic controls.
The customer converted boilers No. 2 and 3, in March
1999 to replace a Bailey Net 90.
The boiler area installation includes flame safety within the DeltaV system.
Each boiler has a dedicated redundant Combustion Controller and a dedicated redundant Flame Safety System
controller for a total of six redundant controllers.
There are hard-wired relays including a WDT relay that will remove power to the field
devices should the controller fail to supply the WDT signal.
DeltaV also controls much of the sugar processing plant.
A Web Server allows personnel in Vancouver to view live plant operations displays.
